What's new

🍓 FARMERS' STALLS → MARKET SQUARE → SUSSEX DRIVE BROWSE

July Afternoons | ByWard Market

Start at the outdoor stalls in ByWard Market Square, where local farmers set up daily through summer. Grab fresh peaches or a bag of cherries at peak season and eat them right there, because that’s what the stalls are for.

From there, cut through Clarence and George Streets past the flower vendors and maple stands, then land on Sussex Drive for window shopping and a stop at Le Moulin de Provence for a cookie. The whole loop is under twenty minutes but never feels rushed.

Fresh, local, and the most Market version of a July afternoon.

🍺 CLOCKTOWER PATIO → BEAVERTAILS → MARKET SQUARE NIGHT

Start with a pint on the Clocktower Brew Pub patio, right in the middle of the action on George Street. It’s one of the few spots where you can watch the whole Market move while you eat.

After dinner, walk the two minutes to the BeaverTails stand for the classic late-night finish. Warm pastry, a summer night, and a lineup that’s part of the experience.

Finish back in Market Square itself, where the patios stay full and the street performers tend to show up once the sun’s down. No other neighbourhood in the city does a July night quite like this one.

Upcoming Events

July keeps the momentum from June going, but trades slower afternoons for a full slate of reasons to leave your apartment. The city is in its peak summer stretch, and ALMA’s calendar reflects it: wellness, watch parties, and one very good surprise.

Some things stay constant. Align with ALMA continues through the month (July 8, 22, and 29), giving residents a midweek reset at the Spa on the 29th Floor. On July 29, the series moves to the Rooftop Terrace and adds ice cream to the mix, because a workout is always better with a reward waiting at the end.

We open with a city view. City Views + Pilates (July 11) brings movement to the Rooftop Terrace, pairing sunset stretches with the best backdrop in the building.

Then comes the surprise… Love Island Watch Party (July 12) takes over The Collective for a night built around the show everyone is already talking about, whether they admit it or not.

The tournament energy returns. FIFA World Cup Watch Party (July 18) fills The Collective with the same excitement that made June’s edition a highlight, one more chance to cheer together as the competition heats up.

We close July the way summer deserves to be closed. July at ALMA: THE Summer Rooftop Party (July 31) brings the month to an end on the Rooftop Terrace, a proper send-off before the calendar turns again.

July at ALMA is about staying in motion. From wellness to watch parties to one last rooftop night, every event keeps the summer going exactly the way residents want it to.

Wellnes & Lifestyle

July is about keeping the momentum going.

With the season in full swing, it’s less about building a routine and more about sticking with it, staying outside, and making movement feel like part of summer instead of a chore.

Align with ALMA Pilates continues for a few special days in July at 7:00 PM. Same commitment, same community, just a little sweeter this month.

And with the World Cup and rooftop season both in full swing, we’re keeping the energy going beyond the mat. Expect more reasons to move together as the month goes on, from rooftop stretches to whatever comes after the surprise that closed out June.

No pressure, no pace goals — just a reason to show up.

July at ALMA is about staying in it: moving well, staying outside, and making the most of the season while it’s still here.
