Do I have to be a student to live at Alma?
No. Alma Gastown in Vancouver is built for urban professionals, and ByWard Market, Sandy Hill and Quartier Latin welcome students and urban professionals alike. The other four communities are for students. Ask the leasing team if your situation is different.
What does all-inclusive mean?
Rent covers your furnished suite, utilities and building amenities. Details vary by community and are listed on each floor plan.
What are Alma Roomies?
Shared rooms in a furnished suite, priced per person. Available at Oshawa; Guelph is sold out with a waitlist.
How do I apply?
Every student community has a Lease Now button that opens its application portal. At Alma Gastown, take a tour and the leasing team will take you through applying.
Can I sign a short lease?
Yes, at Oshawa, ByWard Market, Sandy Hill, Shaughnessy Village and Quartier Latin. FlexLease lets you stay 4 months, 8 months or longer, and move in now or start in January. Alma Gastown offers 12-month leases only. At other communities, lease terms vary by season, so ask the leasing office.
Is parking available?
Limited parking is available at some communities and is not included in rent. Bike storage is included everywhere.
What is Campus Crew?
Alma’s optional program for residents who want a hand in how their community runs: five ways to take part, no fixed hours, and a bursary for eligible new residents. Learn more on the Campus Crew page.
