Building Updates

Monthly Fire Alarm Testing

Our monthly fire test will be taking place Wednesday, June 14th between 10am and 2pm. You will hear the fire alarm going off while they are in the building as the system will be on test.

Maintenance Requests

All maintenance requests must be entered through the yuhu maintenance portal. Click here to make a maintenance request.

Garbage Room

The garbage room is located on the main floor by the North elevator - in the hallway of the 100 level units. Please ensure you take your garbage down to the garbage room daily. You'll notice we have Green bins, recycling bins and garbage bins. The Green Bins are not for your garbage. If you are unfamiliar with what goes where, you can download the Guelph waste app in the App Store or Google Play.

Kitchen

Please remember that the kitchen is a shared space and the fridges and freezer in the community kitchen are shared amongst all residents. Please be respectful of the space by using the shared fridges and freezer for items that do not fit yo.

City Spotlight

The Boathouse Tea Room and Ice Cream

The Boathouse is a locally sourced tea room and ice cream parlour and is a MUST DO in Guelph. Enjoy delicious desserts and ice cream while relaxing on their patio which overlooks the Speed River. If you feel like getting a bit of exercise, you can also rent kayaks or canoes.

Tour de Guelph

Get your gears 🚴turning at the Tour de Guelph, which is a cycling event in support of Guelph General Hospital and local Rotary projects. The event is being held on the University of Guelph campus, at the W.F. Mitchell Centre. Looks like a free lunch is included.

Date Night @ Manhattans

Only a 15 minute bus ride from ALMA @ Guelph, Manhattans is a neighborhood restaurant with a unique dining experience that features live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Open for Saturday, June 10th.

Ping Pong Tournament

Games and Arcade Room June 14, 2023 @ 7pm Let's Bounce 🏓. Be the very first ALMA resident to be crowned "World" Champ. Compete,  against other ALMA residents in our very first Ping Pong tournament. Winner receives a $25 gift card and ALMA swag. Please register if you are interested.
